The "Sand Dunes"-near "Stovepipe Wells" - a resort in Death Valley .
I wanted to expose long enough to
brighten the dunes and shrubs for detail.
Had my exposure been much longer , the color in the dunes and
shrubs would have been less apparent
and the bright mountains probably would not have contrasted the
dunes as well as they did.
(a long lens,set at 300 mm, was used.)
